Apple Drops Mac Category From Annual Design Awards - PCWorld Business Center

Rogue Amoeba CEO Paul Kafasis agrees. “Ultimately, I find these moves disappointing. Having an iPhone slant at WWDC is one thing, but completely cutting the Mac out of the ADAs? That feels like a snub to plenty of Mac developers who continue to do great work on a well-established, popular platform.”

You said it, Paul. This news is especially disappointing because I’m not a fan of Apple’s recent iPhone/iPad-related business practices, but I still like their Mac Pro desktops and laptops an awful lot. And monitors. I’d kill to have a brand new, reasonably-priced, normal-sized monitor.

Is it just me or does Apple seem too busy conquering the mobile world to give attention to creative professional types? NErdS ARE PEOPLE TOO.
