rickwebb: Wow look at that Alaska, second least religious state. Woohoo! There’s definitely a ton of religious nutjobs and strange reclusive religious sects, but I guess the hippies and the Alaska Natives outdid them. Nice. I also find it particularly hilarious that states in New England that were originally founded by religious nutjobs are now highest on the list of non-religious states....

'Caprica’ Streams Ahead | Multichannel News →
Syfy will air a slightly different version of Caprica when the series premieres on the network Jan. 22. “We’ve reshot a few scenes, we’ve added additional elements and upgraded the special effects from the original pilot,” Howe said. “Upgraded the special effects” is just a way to try and make us feel better that they can’t show the original in all it’s hedonistic...

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WTVC-TV) - A 4-year-old boy, beer in hand, is accused of stealing Christmas presents from his neighbors. It’s a strange story, but also a sad one. April Wright is 21 years old and is going through a divorce with her husband who is in jail.  She says she is not sure how her 4-year-old managed to get out of the house, open a beer, and steal the neighbors presents from under...

With ratings up double digits in every key demo since his channel’s oft-ridiculed name-change to Syfy on July 7, network president Dave Howe told TheWrap he has no desire  to deliver an “in your face” to the many who doubted his brand strategy.

robot-heart-politics: unburyingthelead: First place: “One night after a long day of campaigning, when the haters had made my spirits reach a nadir, I looked into Todd’s eyes, which were as blue as the stripes on Old Glory, and too representing truth and loyalty, and he looked back at me with a twinkle of determination which I hadn’t seen since I told him my goal of having another baby in...

I was thinking about this this morning, and it struck me that that conversation was actually a nice...

ew. EWWW. So, my paychecks from IFC already come from Cablevision, I guess now my paychecks from Syfy will come from Comcast?  Is it just me or is the world being taken over by these awful monopolistic behemoths? On the bright side, it will be extra nice to get mail from Comcast that isn’t a bill. Oh, and I’m sure they will understand that my rates are so high because I have to pay...
